Gamal Khamis (piano)

​​A regular contributor to BBC Radio's 3 In Tune, Gamal has performed alongside Erwin Schrott, Vilde Frang, Maxim Rysanov, Sol Gabetta and many more. He has premiered works by many of Britain’s leading composers including Eleanor Alberga, Amy Bryce, Shiva Feshareki, Daniel Kidane and George Stevenson.

Di Xiao - piano

​​Hailed as “a pianist of awesome gifts” by critics, Di Xiao is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, educator and cultural ambassador whose artistry blends the richness of Eastern musical heritage with the grand traditions of Western classical music.

Music for viola and piano inspired by nature and folklore, book-ended with works by Clara and Robert Schumann.

Hannah Watson Emmrich - piano

Hannah’s performances have included solo, chamber and song recitals at the Barbican, St Martin-in-the-Fields, LSO St Luke’s, Cardiff’s St David’s Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, as well as performances on Radio 3’s In Tune and Afternoon on 3, and in the film The Lady in the Van. Her debut solo album, Notes from the Undergrowth, an ‘ecosystem of miniatures from the French baroque to the present day’, is due for release in May 2026. Hannah and Luba have performed together in major music venues in the UK and in Kenya.

Schumann’s Dichterliebe and works by Grieg and Sibelius​​

Giacomo Schmidt - baritone

JongSun Woo - piano

A welcome return by the baritone/piano duo who gave us such a captivating performance of Schubert’s Schöne Müllerin at last year’s “Rivers” festival. Giacomo Schmidt and Jong Sun Woo met in 2021 as scholars of Liedakademie Heidelberger Frühling under direction of Thomas Hampson. As a duo, they recently won 1st Prize at International Hugo Wolf Song Competition in Stuttgart and 2nd prize and Audience Prize at International Schubert Lied-Duo Competition in Dortmund.
